Setup and Mounting Help
Troubleshooting guide for issues during initial installation or projector mounting.
If you're having trouble during installation or projector mounting, follow these steps.
Symptoms
- Unsure where to mount the projector
- Image doesn't cover the full table after mounting
- Projector seems too close or too far from the table
Likely Causes
- Incorrect mounting position: The projector is not at the recommended height or offset.
- Throw ratio mismatch: The projector's throw distance doesn't match your ceiling height and table size.
Fix Steps
- Check your room fit results: If you used the room fit tool, review the recommended mounting position. The tool accounts for table size, ceiling height, and clearances.
- Verify throw ratio and distance: Each projector has a throw ratio that determines how far it needs to be from the table. For vertical and side mounts, it needs to be about 0.5 and for end mounts it should be about 1.15.
- Adjust projector position: The lens should be roughly centered relative to the side of the the table (for side and vertical mounts) or the end of hte table (for end mounts).
- Adjust the projector tilt: For side and end mounts, the projector may need to be tilted up to 15 degrees to have the light fully cover the table.
- Consult the setup guide: The full step-by-step mounting guide is available at Installation and Setup.
